This ring is one of a kind. I source my Aurora Opals in small batches, allowing each ring to be designed around the individual beauty of its stone. Once these opals are gone, they won't be repeated in exactly the same way.
Handmade
The ring is handmade in recycled sterling silver.
GEMSTONE & Technique
The lab-grown opal is approximately 6x5 mm. The ring is hand-fabricated from sterling silver sheet and wire.
FINER DETAILS
The ring band is a round profile, approximately 1.5mm in width. The ring is finished with a high shine polish and is perfect for everyday wear.

the horizon ring
This delicate Aurora Opal is all about quiet colour rather than bold statement. Set in a dainty 6x5mm oval, it carries soft ribbons of pink and purple, lifted by gentle golden flashes that appear as it catches the light.
I handcrafted a solid recycled sterling silver bezel to follow the fine shape of the stone, framing it in bright, mirror-polished silver. The setting is kept minimal and clean so the gemstone can remain the focus, even at its smaller scale.
The result is a light, elegant ring that feels easy to wear every day, with just enough colour to catch the eye. As with all of my Aurora Opal pieces, this ring is completely one of a kind and won’t be repeated once it has sold.

what is a lab created opal?
A lab-grown Opal is an Opal gemstone that is created in a laboratory environment. They have the same chemical and physical properties as natural opal and are often stronger and more durable than their natural, earth-mined versions

JEWELLERY CARE
Natural Opals are porous and can lose some lustre when wet (once they have dried, the lustre returns), therefore, it is best to clean the chain and carefully around the setting with a damp cloth, dry thoroughly and then buff them to shine using an impregnated polishing cloth suitable for the metal type.
Jewellery should be the first thing you take off (when changing, showering or swimming) and the last thing you put on (after dressing, perfumes and lotions)
