Sustainability at Streets Craft Creations

I believe that sustainability is important. It's why I use recycled precious metals and carefully source all the gemstones I work with. I also recycle leftover metals by melting them down to create new jewellery pieces.

Recycled Precious Metals

I use recycled precious metals in all of my jewellery. This means that I am not contributing to the mining of new metals, which can have a negative impact on the environment. Mining for precious metals can lead to deforestation, water pollution, and air pollution. By using recycled metals, I am helping to reduce these environmental impacts.

Choosing suppliers that too are committed to being more sustainable allows me to create all my beautiful pieces knowing they are kinder. You won't find any fast fashion, throw away jewellery here.

Carefully Sourced Gemstones

I only use gemstones that have been ethically sourced. This means that the gemstones have been mined in a way that does not harm the environment or the people who live in the area where they are mined. I spend time checking suppliers for their ethics statements and using trusted suppliers.

I also offer lab grown alternatives, they are optically and chemically exactly the same as their natural counterparts. So when you reach out for a bespoke piece of jewellery, I will always give you all the available options. After all your jewellery should be individual to you, it should reflect your style and personality. It should make you feel wonderful, powerful and unique.

ViNTAGE GEMSTONES

Quite possibly some of my most favourite ones of all. Vintage gemstones simply means gemstones older than around 40 years. So 1980's and before. These gemstones come from retired jewellers' collections, from within the industry where jewellery has been loved and sold on, the precious metal removed for sale and the stones just set aside. It is lovely to be able to bring those beautiful gemstones back into play.

Vintage gemstones are a great way to add a touch of history and personality to your jewellery collection.

Recycling Leftover Metals

I recycle my leftover metals. When I create a piece of jewellery, I often have some leftover metal. I melt this metal down and use it to create new jewellery pieces. This helps me to reduce waste and to conserve resources. Nothing is wasted here, the dust from filings can be fused onto pieces for texture. Off cuts melted down, hammered and rolled into new sheet to work with, The possibilities are truly endless with what I can use my leftover metals for. My scrap pot is a jar of wonders!

I am proud to offer thoughtfully created, unique, and sustainable jewellery that you can cherish for a lifetime. I take great care in creating each piece, ensuring that it is handmade perfectly for you in the most mindful way possible.

I am confident that you will love your Streets Craft Creations jewellery. It is a piece of art that you can wear and enjoy for years to come.

Why not go and add a piece to your collection today...
